India in the world of smart phones
India has become quite a big market for smartphone manufacturers. A large number of smart phones are being sold day by day. Brands like Samsung, Sony, Apple, HTC has made a big profits from our homeland. But by the end of 2014, the pricing of smart phones has become very aggressive.
This was because of the intro of some Chinese brands like, Xiaomi, Gionee, Oppo, One, etc. They started selling highly stuffed android smart phones with a very low budget. In the meanwhile, with Samsung, Sony and all, some leading Indian manufacturers like Micromax, Lava, Xolo, Karbonn began to lose their market to these Chinese brands. This made them think for a change. And they too started bringing up smart phones with mind blowing specs.
Micromax has started a new stream called 'Yu', meant for the youth. The yu Yureca is powered by Cyanogen Inc, which is considered as the best budget smartphone at this time. This beast is giving almost same specs of the Samsung Galaxy S5, and promised android update for 3 years.
The main thing to notice is the price itself. While Samsung sell their flagship, S5 for almost Rs.40,000, Micromax Yu is priced at 8,999. This is not an add for micromax, but you must think about this. We're paying almost half of the actual price of Samsung phones as Tax to their country. This makes not only the company grow, but the country too. If we all start using micromax, or similar brands, our country too will get most of it.
This is not just about the smartphone industry. If we try our best to avoid foreign products and replace them with ours, it'll make our country proud, and sure we too will get the benefits. We all can join our hands now and make the change happen.
