No, Its not mileage drop.. You are being cheated from Petrol Pumps !!

Do you feel that your beast is not giving you the mileage you use to get before? Yeah, that's true. You just have to care a little bit while you fill up petrol from petrol pumps, especially in peak timings. Have you ever experienced, when you ask the attendant to fill petrol for Rs.200 and he fills it just for Rs.50? And then you corrected him to make it 200? Yeah? Then make sure that you've tipped that guy with 50 bucks. If you are someone like me, who cares about the mileage, you'll notice a slight drop in the mileage.

This is how they fool us..
When you ask them to fill for Rs,200 , the attendant fills up the oil only for Rs 50 . When you ask him why, He will give a innocent smile and say that he heard Rs 50 and he will fill remaining Rs 150 , he resets the meter and fills up another Rs 150 petrol and you pay Rs 200.
Whats the scam here ? The problem is that he never resets the meter to 0 , he continues from the same point itself and go till Rs 150 , so in reality you only get the petrol worth Rs.150, but pay Rs 200 . The trick here is that when he says that he is resetting the meter to 0 and moves towards it, in the meanwhile, another team mate will disturb you with some question like – “Sir, Cash or Card?” , or “Sir, You have Cash-Back card?” , Or “Sir can you fill up this coupon?” .
Its a human tendency that you look at him or respond him, thisis the chance for the attendant will start filling again from where he stopped, and by the time you look at the meter, it'll be almost done.

What you have to do..

All the oil companies have their own web portals to take their customers complaints, you can do it online or even you can call them. Or else they'll be having a complaint box in the Pump itself. You can just drop your written complaints in that, but i'm not sure how safe your complaint letter will be, there inside the box. One of them could be smarter than us ;)
Here you  can get the numbers and the web addresses. You can chose any way, but make sure that you do it. They should remember our face before they do it for the next time.
