10 Productivity killers you should stop immediately !!

Creating and sticking to a work routine allows us to manage it much better. We feel stable doing the same things every day, but we often don’t realize that some of our habits may impede on our productivity. What’s worse, we may even think that they help our efficiency.
Here are 10 common habits people think are productivity-boosting, but really aren’t at all.

1. Stop smoking

It would be great if people inhaled productivity skills with a smoke, but let’s be realistic – that is not what actually happens! In fact, your concentration decreases from one cigarette break to another. You don’t gain any extra concentration or productivity; instead, you come back to work with further distraction.
Moreover, you can’t focus when you’re anxious to take your next smoke break. If you would like to be more productive and happy about your work, you should quit smoking or do not smoke during work hours.

2. Limit your daily coffee consumption

We all love coffee! However, we also forget that coffee stimulates our brains only at certain doses. An acceptable daily amount for healthy people is roughly 400 mg, about four cups of brewed coffee. Within this limit, coffee can stimulate areas in your brain responsible for planning, attention, and concentration.
When you exceed the recommended amount, it can have the opposite effect: caffeine can cause feelings of anxiousness, irritability, and restlessness, so be mindful to not exceed four cups a day.

3. Select appropriate music

What you listen during workday is up to you. When you choose music that you know and enjoy, your brain produces dopamine that can you more excitable, rather than focused.
Instead, choose soothing music such as classical or ambient. Avoid albums you are familiar with – find something new that will help you relax and act as quiet background noise, which has been proven to help boost focus.

4. Limit rewards

When you accomplish your task (i.e., writing a guest post), you may reflect on how difficult or time consuming it was, and decide that you need a break. That may be true, but you have to be careful.
You drink a cup of coffee, have a little chat, browse Facebook for five minutes, make a sandwich, and before you know it one reward has turned into several. Try to figure out what your single reward will look like. Choose a specific reward and period of time for your break and stick to it!

5. Separate learning from working

Learning is vital to developing and increasing your business. You should learn as much as you can and apply what you learn in practice. You cannot allow learning to distract from the work you need to complete, though. Set aside special dates that you will devote to learning only.

6. Communicate in silence

Keeping in touch with other team members can be productive, as you can get answers quickly and get back to the task at hand. However, it can be extremely harmful to your productivity when a single question turns into off-topic discussion and soon enough, everyone is distracted from their work. A great solution is to utilize Skype or other employee communication tools such as instant messaging to communicate quickly and efficiently.

7. Avoid unnecessary meetings

Meetings enable us to share ideas, but they can also be time and productivity killers. If possible, try to change the structure of meetings in your firm. In order to lead a productive meeting that doesn’t waste valuable office hours, set a time, agenda and objectives for the meeting. Invite the appropriate people (don’t invite copywriters to a developers meeting), and be prepared to lead your attendees through the agenda and keep everyone on topic.

8. Don’t get distracted by less important tasks

“It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?” wrote Henry D. Thoreau and he was 100% right. Stop working on everything. It happens all too often that you have to quickly answer an email, solve a ticket, and correct something else while you are working on your key task.
Group your tasks from the most important to least important. Get used to working with a notepad open and write down all the little things that come to mind – you can handle them later.

9. Go home when you’re done

Don’t be the person who confuses working hard with working smart. Some people sit at the office until late at night, trying to convince themselves and others that they are being extremely productive. In reality, they are overworked, overwhelmed, and distracted.
Follow the golden rule: do not work a minute more than you have to.  Go home, spend time with family, set aside time for hobbies you enjoy, and rest. It is not about doing the most work, but doing your work very well.

10. Make friends with the word “no”

When you say yes to every request for help, it will appear that you are very busy. However, you are very busy doing everyone else’s work without being able to give your own tasks the proper time and attention.
It may be difficult to say no, but it will get easier with time. Some people may take offense, but you need to prioritize your own work above helping others complete theirs. If you have time when your own tasks are finished, it is perfectly fine to assist a co-worker in need but you need to keep your own productivity as a priority.
If you struggle with things such as excessive coffee consumption or being easily distracted at work, I hope this article is valuable to you. Young India burns into ash..

Young India is getting 'High'. Drug abuse has become a most common issue all over the world. Countries like America, Belgium, Singapore are flooded with different types of drugs. And India is so not far behind. For a developing country like India, drug abuse is a real curse. Most of the addicts are under the age of 25, and thats the time for being a strong warrior for the country. In India, the rate of increase in young addicts are alarmingly increasing. Panjab have almost 75 percent of the youth addicted, which means 3 among 4 youngsters are addicted to drugs.

This count is getting increased irrespective of gender. The use of drugs like Marijuana, Cocaine, and Heroin make people feel they are strong and bright. These drugs secretes a Chemical called Dopamine into the young brains. Its a chemical which secretes in human brain, when we are happy. By injecting this artificially makes the amount increase and that makes them even happier and active. A person who is using these drugs may feel boost in their creativity and skills. And so, they'll crave to use it when it reach their eyes. Actually, the usage not only cause severe affects on their body, but their minds too. Gradually, the hormone secretion in those brains starts decreasing. And they'll need those drugs to find them happier.

Surveys by WHO says, 30-40 percent of cocaine users are addicted to it. The decrease in count of the drugs from their blood, makes them feel depressed. And sure, they'll know what makes them come out of it. And they start searching for it. This is the first stage of addiction. Marijuana is illegal all over the world because of its negative impacts, even though its a good medicine. They call it in different names like Joint, Dope, Hemp. We've heard of Revolutions in countries like USA to legalize Cannabis. In India, if this rate bumbs up as it is, we'll have to see a Legalize drugs Revolution soon.

Our society treat the master minds who've come out of the world of Drugs very badly. They should be treated real smoothly, or else there is a chance for them to go back. Think about our future generations, they are gonna pay for our search for happiness. It'll be difficult to take this off from our society. But hopes makes us live. So hope and work for a healthy and real brighter India.

Say No to DRUGS.

Drugs affect more than just you.

No drug user grows old; because they die young !!

Why do the youngsters rush, to get the hell out of India??

It has become a trend that most of the youngsters of India going abroad just after completing their graduation. It brings our economy down, but noone can blame them. Becoming successful from India is quite a big task. It took a Chicago conference for us to realize Swami Vivekananda. And a revolution in South Africa to identify Mahatma Gandhi. :D..In such a country, its very difficult to bring our names up.

But what really takes away our youth is the attractive opportunities and pay scale for freshers in India. :p
Our country is still a developing country and in such a place, lack of opportunities should not be an issue. Countries like China, Pakistan and Russia are also facing problems of brain-drain. Inappropriate infrastructure, unemployment, financial constraints, political corruption, lack of opportunities, low standard of living, etc leads these fellows to migrate from their countries.

India has given brilliant talent to the world and it's a world-wide known fact that Indian brains are unparalleled. But why don't these brilliance help for the country's development.? The highly skilled engineers, doctors and scientists are migrating to develpoled countries like US, UK. Because there, they get well paid for the sweat they shed.

Isn't his a loss for our country? Who can stop brain-drain? The answer is quite simple. If the answer is "I Can " , this can be wiped off soon. But the government should give better opportunities. And the government can try to bring back the brilliant brains working outside. This would really increase the GDP, and so decrease the rate of unemployment.

Lets begin to say "I Can". And soon we'll find the change. Lets make it.

Cops, Dont you feel ashamed??

Police officers are made for a secure and fearless public. But 90 percent of the Indian Police officers are making the public fear of them. Aren't they get paid by our government? Or are they not satisfied with their pay scale? I cant find any reasons why they are bribing so much, that too from people who are starving for money.

I saw this happening yesterday evening at Malleswaram, Bangalore. And that made me write this blog. Malleswaram is one of the crowedest market place in Bangalore, which is stuffed with hundreds of shops and thousands of street sellers. Because of lack of space, people sell things sitting on the pavement. Yes, that is an offence, but ..

When i was walking through the street, i saw a police van coming forth towards a group of Ladies-dress sellers sitting on the pavement. All of them started taking off their goods and one of the guys was a bit late to pack everything up. The inspector got out of the van and went towards him. I thought he was going to warn him. But i saw that inspector taking a bunch of churidars of different types from him, without even talking a word.

After that, he headed to the next guy who was selling flowers, and did the same. People around couldn't do anything. If someone ask what was happening, the officers are clever enough to make them pay for that bravery. I didn't know what to do. But i followed the officer who was collecting things for his needs without paying a penny.

I could have took some photographs and brought this to light. But that idea didnt struck on my head when i was witnessing that crap. I know writing this is not gonna change anything. But if anyone from the Police Depaetment read this, think about the poor people. Think what made them sell things on the pavement.

If you come to see something like this, don't forget atleast to take some photos of that. A country develop, when the people of it develop. These kind of people are not gonna let that happen. So come lets work together to take them off the department. We are paying them, and we don'nt need them anymore..
